The following conditions apply to all ticket purchases made through the Festival’s box office. Anyone purchasing tickets is considered to have read and freely accepted these terms.
Online ticket purchases
In order to purchase tickets, all the fields in the reservation form must be filled. Paypal and credit cards are the only acceptable method of payment for online purchases. Only Visa or MasterCard credit cards are accepted. The name must be submitted exactly as appears on the credit card.
All purchases are subject to approval by the FMA and the financial institutions that issue the authorized credit cards.
The FMA will not be held responsible in the events of a purchase or transaction that cannot be completed due to an error, a system or network failure, or because of another ticket purchasing network.
In case of a discrepancy between the information submitted through the box office and the information registered on the FMA box office’s central system, or any other ticket purchasing system, the information received by the FMA central system will be deemed as accurate and will prevail.
Tickets must be collected in the method written in the system at the moment of purchase.
If the show is held at the Place des Arts, the tickets purchased will be available the day of the show, at the Festival’s table located at the entrance of the venue where the show is held, one (1) hour prior to the performance. Only the credit card holder of the card used for the purchase can pick up the tickets.
General admission tickets
General admission tickets do not correspond to specific seats. Seating is free on the “first come first served” basis. It is forbidden to reserve seats to persons who are not present.
Only the rates displayed on the reservation form are available for online purchasing. Reduced price tickets for students and 65 years-old and over, and specials are subjected to conditions and subject to change without notice.
The various charges shown on the order form correspond to the current rate.
The FMA does not charge any service fees for the tickets sold through its box office, except come co-presentation or co-production shows. The FMA reserves the right to chose the shows where service fees do not apply.
Tickets cannot be returned or resold at a higher price than appears on the ticket.
The FMA reserves the right to cancel a ticket if the sales transaction is not in line with the pricing policies and box office policies, whether the discrepancy is due to a system failure, a human error or any other factor.
Refunds, exchanges, cancellation at the ticket holder’s request
No refunds, exchanges or cancellations are permitted once the order has been processed. Please carefully review the name of the show, the date, and the selected seat (if applicable) before confirming the purchase.
Information regarding the program, dates and schedules, as well as the shows casting, is subject to change without notice.
Persons with reduced mobility must contact the venue’s box office or the FMA when it is the only box office available by phone in order to book their tickets and reserve seats that adequately meet their needs.
Shows start at the exact time displayed on the ticket. Latecomers will not be allowed in the theatre once the show has started. No refunds, exchanges or monetary compensation will be offered to latecomers who have been refused entry.
Lost or stolen tickets
In case of a lost or stolen ticket, The FMA will print a duplicate. This duplicate will be available at the reception table at the venue, one (1) hour before the show. A proof of purchase and an ID will be needed to pick up the tickets. The duplicate effectively cancels and replaces the original ticket.
In case of a show cancellation, a message will be sent to all ticket holders. The FMA will then reimburse the concerned tickets through the original point-of-sale. There will be no further compensation or reimbursement offered.
In case of program changes (date, time, venue, etc.), purchased tickets will be honoured. Customers wishing to cancel their tickets will be reimbursed (refer to the ‘’show cancelation’’ clause for repayment terms).
Confidentiality & information security policy
Online shopping on the FMA website is secure in order to ensure confidentiality.
Personal and credit card information are encrypted when relayed by electronic mail. The message cannot be intercepted, altered or decoded by a third party.
Payment is made directly through Paypal. The FMA does not store any credit information during computerized transactions. The FMA complies with SSL encryption standards.
Ticket holders commit to respect any additional policy or guideline set by the FMA, mainly regarding security and propriety, in order not to disrupt the show in any way. In case of infringement on these rules, the FMA reserves the right to ask the offender to leave the theatre. In which case, their ticket cannot be exchanged or reimbursed and there will be no monetary compensation.
